(1) The main entrance is located on the north side of the building on Thunderbird Boulevard. This entrance is level and accessible and has an automatic sliding door. The entrance leads into the main lobby of the building.

(2) The second entrance is located at the northwest corner of the building across from the Robert F. Osborne Centre. This entrance is level and accessible and has a manual door.

Health Sciences Parkade

THE HEALTH SCIENCES PARKADE IS LOCATED AT 2250 HEALTH SCIENCES MALL. THE ENTRANCE TO THE PARKADE IS ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF THE STRUCTURE, JUST WEST OF HEALTH SCIENCES MALL NEXT TO PATIENT PARK AND THE BACK OF THE UBC HOSPITAL COMPLEX.

Year Erected: 2008

Doug Mitchell Thunderbird Sports Centre originally consisted of the Thunderbird Winter Sports Centre, which was built in 1965, with an addition built in 1969. Fifty percent of the money for its construction was raised by the Alma Mater Society through a student levy. The UBC Thunderbird Arena addition, with its main entrance on Wesbrook Mall, was built as a venue for the 2010 Olympic Winter Games.
