Unique Location Features / Special Usage- convention space History / Points of InterestYear Erected: 2000 The Liu Institute for Global Issues, originally named the Liu Centre for the Study of Global Issues, was constructed in 2000 and is named after Mr. Jien Jow Liou, an international businessman. Mr. Liou, along with his Liu foundation, made a consideration contribution to the funding of the Centre. The building itself is built of many recycled materials and incorporates the extensive use of natural light in its design, which helps to make it a sustainable building. |
