Entrance Notes(1) The main entrance to Cecil Green Park House is on the south side of the building on the driveway off Cecil Green Park Road. This entrance includes a ramp and is level and accessible with a manual door. The entrance leads into the main hall of the building. (2) The second entrance is located at the southeast corner of the building. This entrance is inaccessible due to stairs. Closest Accessible Parking- Cecil Green Park Road Lot Routing NotesFrom Cecil Green Park Road, take the switchbacked path down to the driveway in front of the building. The main floor is accessible from the main entrance and the garden is accessible from the east side of the house. Accessibility NotesThe upper floors of this building are inaccessible due to stairs Caution NotesThere are gutters across the roadway part way down Cecil Green Park Road, as well as in the access lane from Green College to Cecil Green Park House that are very hazardous for persons using wheelchairs. Use caution. The path from the parking area on Cecil Green Park Road on the east side near the fence is very steep. Use the gently sloped path to the west instead. |

Unique Location Features / Special Usage- Facilities for events such as weddings, meetings, etc., includes extensive grounds History / Points of InterestYear Erected: 1911 Cecil Green Park House was built in 1912 in the Tudor Revival and Arts and Crafts Style for Edward Davis, a Vancouver lawyer. In 1967 Cecil and Ida Green purchased the house, had it renovated and restored, and donated it to the university for use by organizations such as the Alumni Association to foster development of a bond between the university and the community. The house and grounds can also be booked for weddings and other special events. |
